Have you ever wondered… What is Post Cana? 

Post Cana is an organization for the mutual support of widows and widowers of all ages and faiths, sponsored by the Office of Family Life of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, DC. Lives change dramatically after the death of a spouse. Post Cana members engage in spiritual, social, intellectual, and other positive programs that promote and enrich their lives through fellowship. They have a common thread of grief and healing, and learn from each other through organized get-togethers. We welcome new widows and widowers to join us. FUTURE EVENTS: 2025

Friday, October 3^rd:  Lunch on the Lanai at Clubhouse I, in Leisure World.  (weather permitting, at noon)

Monday, November 3^rd: Coffee fellowship at Our Lady of Grace at 9.45. We will have a computer analyst advisor; Azad Ali from Micro Geeks help us identify strategies for protection against identify theft. 

Thursday, November 6^th:  FUNERAL PLANNING WORKSHOP: Session #1: Introduction…. How do we prepare? Why do we prepare? Who does it help? How does it help our family? Father Jim Bocabella from Our Lady of Grace and Sally Daniel, Director of Family Life, from the Washington Archdiocese Pastoral Center will be there to encourage us! 

Thursday, December 4^th: Post Cana Christmas Party.  This is an annual tradition.  There will be a Holy Mass at 11.00, with an Advent Reflection, followed by a catered lunch in the Parish Center.
