Have you ever wondered… What is Post Cana? 

Post Cana is an organization for the mutual support of widows and widowers of all ages and faiths, sponsored by the Office of Family Life of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, DC. Lives change dramatically after the death of a spouse. Post Cana members engage in spiritual, social, intellectual, and other positive programs that promote and enrich their lives through fellowship. They have a common thread of grief and healing, and learn from each other through organized get-togethers. We welcome new widows and widowers to join us. Upcoming Activities for 2025 We will host a half-day Lenten Reflection at Our Lady of Grace on Tuesday, March 11th, from 11 am to 2 pm. Father Jim Boccabella, Our Lady of Grace’s pastor, will celebrate Holy Mass with us. Lunch will follow in the parish dining room. Father Mark Hughes is coming for lunch and afterwards will give us a spiritual talk to guide us through Lent. Please Note: There will be an increase in the cost of each luncheon. The Lenten and Spring Fling luncheons for 80 folks is $2,000. That includes a $400 catering fee. To break even we need to charge $25 to attend an event.

Grilled Stuffed Bell Peppers: grilled bell peppers stuffed with quinoa and roasted vegetables • Shredded BBQ Brisket: served with potato rolls • Baked Macaroni & Cheese • Feta & Sundried Tomato Pasta Salad • Tossed Caesar Salad Beveragess: Lemonade, Iced Tea, and Water Desserts: Assorted Fruit and Cream-filled Pies Reservation Deadline: March 4th. Please send a check for $25 (made out to Post Cana) to Herb Biegel, 13509 Maidstone Lane, Potomac, MD 20854. 

Spring Fling Our annual Spring Fling is set for Tuesday, May 13th, with Holy Mass at 11 am, followed by a festive lunch with DJ music from Captain Dan (he brought his music to our December 2022 Christmas party).

Tuesday, May 13^th.  This date is a two in one fellowship!
Our annual Memorial Mass (usually in June at Holy Redeemer) will be at 11.00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace.  Father Mark Hughes will be our celebrant.  Before Mass you may write the name(s) of your loved ones in our Memorial book.
After Mass we will have a delicious buffet meal ($25) in the parish center with an Asian theme to it …
