The Truth of the Human Person: Engaging the Culture with JPII's Theology of the Body Come and hear how Holy Redeemer is engaging the culture in an authentically Catholic and Christ-like compassionate way. Come, listen, ask questions, and prepare to be overwhelmed by the beauty of Catholic teaching. The kick-off event for parishioners and school and CCD parents is 7:30 Wednesday, Sept. 27th in the school auditorium with a Becket Fund attorney representing families denied the right to opt out of gender ideology instruction in Montgomery County. There are 5 other events planned: Wednesday, Nov. 8, Dr. John Grabowski, Professor of Moral Theology and author, will share his expertise on gender and some thoughts about how Catholics can respond in charity to girls in boys’ bathrooms, or boys on girls’ sports teams. Wednesday, Dec. 6, we will be looking at adolescence; the normal behaviors and vulnerabilities of children at that age. Our speaker will be a psychologist, TBD. Lent 2024, we will be forming Canavox small group sessions on topics related to Theology of the Body for those who are interested. April 10, 2024, a panel of educators, some from Holy Redeemer and others from Montgomery County, will discuss and share what happens in the classroom when gender issues are raised. June 5, 2024, presentation on Theology of the Body by Rev. Walter Schu, S.Th.D., assistant professor, Department of Integrative Studies at Divine Mercy University
