Protect Life

As Catholics we firmly believe in and cherish human life from conception to natural death.  We carry a positive message of love for life and ongoing enhancement of the relationship between the sanctity of our human lives, our souls and Christ's promise of eternal life if we live according to His commandments and the precepts of Holy Mother Church that is entrusted with the care of Christ's faithful on earth.

Gabriel Project

The Gabriel Project, Montgomery County Cluster, is a pro-life ministry for pregnant mothers and their families.  This ministry is an outreach program to local pregnant mothers and their families before and after their babies are born, as long as help is needed.  Volunteers, known as Angel Friends, provide spiritual, emotional and material support to the pregnant mothers, in conjunction with the resources of the Project and partner organizations.  Holy Redeemer Parish assists the Gabriel Project in many ways.  Many of our parishioners are Angel Friends and prayer supporters.  Fund-raising efforts, such as the annual Lenten Drive and Bottle Drive, are generously supported by parishioners.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or prayer supporter of this worthwhile pro-life ministry, please contact Deirdre Whitty at or 301-946-1243, or Sandy Buffalano at

Respect Life

We, the members of the Respect Life Ministry of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, in response to the Gospel of Life, commit ourselves to prayer, education, and action in defense of life.  It is our mission to foster in our parish community an awareness of the dignity and sanctity of all human life, from conception to natural death.  We are dedicated to observing and promoting the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church on all life issues, including abortion, infanticide, assisted suicide, and stem cell research.
