The Liturgical Year Calendar


Lent 2019 begins with Ash Wednesday on March 6.  Holy Redeemer offers ashes at the 6:45 and 9 a.m.  and 7:30 p.m. Masses.  Please refer to our bulletin on the web site for the complete weekly schedule of Masses, Confessions and Stations of the Cross during Lent. 


Easter, which is celebrated on Sunday, April 21st, 2019, is our Catholic celebration of the Resurrection of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is central to our belief as Christians.  We have been preparing for Easter through the forty days of Lent, culminating in the Easter Triduum of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Vigil of Easter on Saturday night.   


This is the  pivotal foundational celebration of the coming of the Holy Spirit onto the apostles thereby giving them the courage and confirming their conviction in Jesus and going forth to preach the gospel. In 2018 Pentecost is on Sunday June 9th, 


This is our preparation time for the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Christmas, the great feast of the Nativity.  The first Sunday of Advent, 2019, is December 1st.


In which we celebrate the Nativity of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ occurs as usual on December 25 which is on a Wednesday in 2019.
