Adult Faith Formation

Two very successful faith building and formation programs have been active in Holy Redeemer over the past few years.  Details follow for Walking with Purpose, the women's program, and That Man is You (TMIY), the men's program.  These two programs welcome men and women of the parish to join and share in faith strengthening and building activities that help in enhancing appreciation of the call to Christian life issuing from the Scriptures and the teachings of Holy Mother Church.  Please take a moment to review the program descriptions herein.  Single or married parishioners are welcome to participate.

Holy Redeemer Men's Group

The Holy Redeemer Men's Group brings together like minded men, who are seeking to be a better person, husband, and father while living their Catholic faith fully.  The group meets on Saturday mornings from 6:30 am to 8 am in the school auditorium.  We provide a free light breakfast, followed by a short video presentation.  After the video, we form into small groups for discussions. The camaraderie this program has fostered among the men of Holy Redeemer has strengthened their faith and provided practical support as they live out their vocations as Catholic men.  There is no cost for joining and guests are always welcomed.  For more information, email Christopher Doerr or call him at 240-338-4381 (cell).

Walking with Purpose - Women's Bible Study

Community Room
Monday, January 28 and Tuesday, January 29

The Holy Redeemer’s Women’s Bible Study aims to bring women to a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ by offering personal study and small group discussions that link our everyday challenges and struggles with the solutions given to us through the teachings of Jesus and the Roman Catholic Church. The program begins in September each year and lasts until May of the following year. Teams meet in the Church Community Rooms on Monday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Childcare is offered for the morning program. Women of all ages and various experiences with Bible studies are welcome.

The spring semester includes a continuation of the Opening Your Heart program and a new program focusing on the Bible and the Virgin Mary.
